A little introduction.
I’m Aaron —For the last years since i found a pretty rock, i became obsessed with what i had no idea was all around and untouched. I started to educate myself best i could to understand the world of rocks. I now have some understanding and became a Scottish rock cutter and field collector based in the Highlands. Every rock I work with is one I’ve personally found (with care and respect to nature) along Scotland’s rivers and hillsides. I cut, shape, and hand‑finish each piece to reveal the natural colours, patterns, and textures hidden inside.
I have only so much available so far but plan for a loaded future. A massive variety is yet to come. I would love anyone’s ideas for custom work if possible, im limited with tools and machines but engage a challenge!
My work focuses on:
- Scottish river rocks transformed into jewellery and ornaments
- Seaglass collected from local shores
- Fossils and natural finds from the Highlands
- Hand‑cut slices, polished faces, and display pieces that show Scotland’s natural beauty
Nothing here is imported or mass‑produced. Every item begins with a walk along the River Ness or a search through the Highland landscape — just me, my tools, and my dog at my side. I cut each rock with thin diamond blades to keep as much natural material as possible, then finish every surface by hand for a clean, honest look.
Inside Albas Rocks is about authenticity: real Scottish rocks, real craftsmanship, and real stories from the land they came from.
